Often when a terrible storm hit life, we prefer to suspect God than to trust Him. We have seen the result of believing in God in our lives, but because of the fact that is opposite from what we believe, we become suspicious of God. In the end we win from the storm, but we do not enjoy a complete victory in our lives.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith? (Mark 4:37-40).
That was done by the disciples as well. At that time, when they were there in the boat with Jesus, arose a great storm of wind and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was now full of water and they started to panic.
In the panic they chose to suspect Jesus than to trust Him. That’s why they said, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” And also because of that, Jesus rebuked them, “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”
Many Christians understand that when the storm strikes the boat of their lives, that’s when they trust God completely. But in everyday life, they prefer to suspect God than trust Him. They might say, “Lord, why did you let this happen? Why did you not help me? Why did you not care for us? ”
At first, they might believe, but when they saw things getting worse, belief began to change to suspicion, or belief mixed with suspicion. What can we do when we suspect God? Nothing, except grumble.
Can you imagine what could happen if the disciples made a decision to trust God completely instead of suspecting God? Maybe the story did not end with fear and confusion when they saw God’s power to stop the storm, but they ended up were used to say to the lake, and then the lake became calm. Their hearts would definitely be full of victory.
You can never imagine what could happen if you choose to trust God more instead of suspecting Him. You will be the main role of the victory that will be achieved, and not just be a spectator that can only be confused and surprised to see the power of God at work and achieved victory.
You will enjoy a complete victory, and a victory like that will be a memorable victory for the rest of your life and it will become a permanent victory and will not be seized and canceled by anything and anyone.
If you choose to suspect, maybe in the end you will be awarded with victory as well, like the disciples at that time, but it will be a defective victory, because it is mixed with murmuring, confusion and disbelief.
If you are in the storms of life right now, no matter what happens, choose to continue to trust God completely! God will open the way for you, God will tell you what you should do, and when you do it according to what God has shown, something will happen unexpectedly, and victory will be achieved. Do not spoil your future victory with suspicion, murmuring and unbelief.
Believe or suspect? Choose to believe! And accept a perfect victory from the Lord!
