Many Christians wonder why bad things happen in their lives, why they do not experience what is good as it is written in the Bible, why is the Bible just like a fairy tale book that gives empty hope. Why the devil can torment me, why I was not happy.
The Bible clearly answers that it all happened because we did not hear His voice and have not walked in His ways. If only we hearken His voice and walk in His ways, these things will happen:
1. There is no enemy that can oppress our lives.
“Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee” (Psalms 81:13-16).
If only we hear His voice and walk in His ways, immediately God will subdue our enemies, the Lord will move and fight for us, so that no enemy can haunt our lives anymore. The reason why all this time the enemy can easily oppress our lives is because we do not listen to His voice and walk in His ways.
2. We shall be fed with the finest, sweet, healthy, and refreshing food.
If only we hear His voice and walk in His ways, we will never be lack of food, both spiritually and physically. God will give us the finest wheat and satisfy us with honey out of the rock. We will always get the finest, sweet, healthy and fresh food, both spiritually and physically. So we will always be full, healthy and fresh. The reason why we lack of spiritual and physical food is because we have not heard the voice of God and walk in His ways.
3. Peace will never run dry in our lives.
“O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea” (Isaiah 48:18).
If only we pay attention to His voice and walk in His ways, then we will have peace like a river that never dries. We will never lose the peace, under any circumstances there will always be peace that covers our hearts and minds. If to this day we still continue to lose the peace, the only reason is because we do not pay attention to His voice and walk in His ways.
4. Happiness will be abundant in our lives.
You are not happy? The reason is none other because you do not pay attention to His voice and walk in His ways
5. We will have many spiritual descendants.
“Your descendants would be as numerous as grains of sand, and I would have made sure they were never destroyed” (Isaiah 48:19 TEV).
If only we hearken His voice and walk according to His way, we are not going to be barren, but we will give birth to people like us, that are happy. We will not live for ourselves, but there will be many spiritual children that we raise and live according to God’s way, just like us.
