What happens when women rise in the power of faith? Read this verse:
“Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection”
(Hebrews 11:35).
If we read the story of the warriors of faith in Hebrews 11, we find that all the warriors of faith who are mentioned are male, except for Rahab. And record about Rahab was only written like this:
“By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace” (Hebrews 11:31).
We become wondered whether the power of faith belongs only to men? Oops .. wait a minute! There is still verse 35: “Women ….” Woman warrior of faith is given a special verse, proving that the power of faith is not the monopoly of men. Let’s see what can be done by women when they rise in the power of faith.
1. They can resurrect whatever that already dead in their lives.
God often gives a lot of things in the lives of women, but with time, due to various pressures and ignorance, they all aborted and was considered dead. They reach a point called desperate, and they bury all the longings and dreams.
Often they feel their husband, children, and people they love is dead (can not change anymore). They give up on life. But when women rise up in the power of faith, then anything that had been considered dead will be resurrected again.
When women rise up in the power of faith, of all that God has given in their lives, nothing will be lost. If anything seems lost for a while, will be restored in a better state.
2. They can survive in suffering to obtain a better resurrection.
For some women, they do not immediately see the results of faith that work in them. But the power of faith will enable them to survive in suffering because of holding the Word, and in time, the Word will be fulfilled in their lives, and they gain a better resurrection.
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).
3. They can inspire men to also rise up and take his position.
In verse 32 of Hebrews 11, it is mentioned a faith warrior named Barak. Barak is a man who rose in the power of faith because he was inspired by the rise of a woman, named Deborah
“The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel” (Judges 5:7).
“Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.” (Judges 5:12).
When women rise in the power of faith, they will inspire other resurrection, particularly the rise of men!
