God orders a man’s steps. It’s not just a man, but a man whose life is pleasing to Him. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand” (Psalm 37:23-24). So there are always impacts if our steps are ordered by God. But God does not order all men’s steps, God only orders men’s steps whose lives are pleasing to Him. Who is the man whose life pleasing to Him? Verse 5 and 6 of Psalm 37 states:
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”
1. A man who gives his life to God.
He doesn’t live for himself. He gives all his life to finish Father’s will. He doesn’t not rely on his own strength, he believes the leading of the Lord and he follows God’s direction. He doesn’t carelessly step up and does what he wants. The steps he takes ordered by God.
2. A man who believes in whatever He says.
He lives by the Word of God. He grasps and believes every word he receives from God. He does not believe in the fact that he saw, he believes the Word that can change his facts of life. He has full confidence in God and His Word. Not once does he suspect God because he puts his trust in God.
It is for people like these God acts to order the steps of their lives.
The impact when our steps are ordered by God:
1. We can enjoy this life.
When our steps are ordered by God, we will be able to enjoy this life, because nothing happens by coincidence. God does everything for our good. What we do and when we do it becomes accurate and always brings good to our lives and to those around us.
God really orders our steps of lives so that everything goes so well and unexpected. We will continue to admire the work of God,to be grateful for His leading and protection. Life with God becomes so exciting and enjoyable because we know He always works for our good.
2. We can not fall, even if we fall we shall not be utterly cast down.
When God orders our steps of lives, no single event or a man that can make us fall. Everything that is designed to make us fall will not succeed. Even if it makes us stumble, God will soon hold our hands so that we will not cast down too long.
These are what the Lord will do so we shall not be utterly cast down:
1. God will uphold.
When we fall He will soon hold our hands and uphold us.
2. God will justify.
God will bring forth our righteousness as the light, and our judgment as the noonday.
3. God will strengthen.
God will strengthen us so that we can continue our journey. And we will keep going until the end. Until all God’s plan is fulfilled. Amen.
Those are the impacts if our steps are ordered by God.
